First Visit: The Consultation
We will discuss your hair history, your styling preferences and your lifestyle in order to determine if Sisterlocks are right for you. I will install "test locs" to see if they will hold, check sizes, amount of scalp showing, settling in time, etc. The consultation is essential for both you and me (your Consultant) to ensure your Sisterlocks are done in the most suitable way.
Second Visit: The Locking Session
Bring a book, and wear comfortable clothes because the process can take from 10 to 25 hours, even longer in some cases. The average amount of Sisterlocks are 400. You will receive a Starter Kit that includes Sisterlocks starter shampoo, rubber bands and instructions for grooming and shampooing as your locs settle in. MsSissyLocs is not responsible for the condition of your hair when you return for the locking session.
Third Visit: Follow-up
You will need to schedule your follow-up after at least two shampoos, which is usually four weeks from the installation. I will monitor the integrity of your locs, tighten them up and give you an idea of how long the settling in process is likely to take.
Ongoing Follow-up Visits:
It is recommended that your first few re-tightening visits are at 4-6 week intervals in order to monitor the progress of your locs. As they mature the average time in between visits is 4-6 weeks depending on the hair type and rate of hair growth.
