Cancellation & Other Policies

MsSissyLocs strives to provide the highest level of timely services for our clients The policies below were established for our team and clients to follow.

ATTENTION CLIENTS
​We do not accept clients with obvious scalp issues.  If you think you have scalp issues (e.g., seborrheic dermatitis, etc.) please make an appointment with a dermatologist before accepting appointments.  If it is determined that you have issues with your scalp, for the protection of our staff and other clients, services will be denied.  If you are a current client, no appointments will be scheduled until our office receives a doctor's note on letterhead.

UNSOLICITED PAYMENTS
Please do not make payments until you have been directed to do so by one of our consultants.
MsSissyLocs has a NO REFUND POLICY. Before you make a payment for services be sure to read the entire website. Sending a payment without an appointment does not guarantee services. MsSissyLocs can be contacted at (916) 790-1922 text messages are accepted.


REMINDERS TO READ UPDATED POLICIES ARE EMAILED AND/OR SENT VIA TEXT ANNUALLY. 
NO CHILDREN IN THE HOME SALON OR OTHER LOCATIONS UNLESS THEY ARE BEING SERVICED

Existing Client Cancellations

If needed, appointments should be cancelled 24 hours or more before the scheduled time.
Cancellations can be via phone call, text or email.

​MsSissyLocs will work with you to reschedule appointments.  Appointments fill up fast! Timely appointment confirmations are greatly appreciated.  

MsSissyLocs have clients that travel more than 60 miles.  Saturday appointments are reserved for clients who travel from other cities in California.

NO Refund Policy

Studio Policy
Nonrefundable deposits are now required for all services.  For Sisterlocks consultations, a $45 nonrefundable deposit must be prepaid to schedule a consultation. The consultation typically lasts about 45 minutes to one hour.

The Sisterlocks establishment locking session requires a 50% nonrefundable deposit to reserve your first locking session.  The remaining balance is due at your first day of the locking session before services are rendered.  All deposits are nonrefundable. Quotes for services expire after 7 calendar days.  DO NOT SEND PAYMENTS AFTER QUOTES HAVE EXPIRED! We do not offer refunds.

Deposits for appointments not rescheduled within 7 calendar days after cancellation will be converted to the form of a gift certificate which will expire one year from the date of issue.  Gift certificates are good toward services, Sisterlocks products (subject to availability) or MsSissyLocs merchandise (subject to availability).  Copies of gift certificates are not acceptable. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.  When scheduling an appointment please inform the receptionist/consultant that you will be using a gift certificate.  The original gift certificate must be presented at the time of the scheduled appointment. 

The use of MsSissyLocs gift certificates constitutes acceptance of the above terms

Transfer Clients
A consultation is required.  The Sisterlocks retightening requires a non-refundable fee of $175 which is due at the time of booking, along with the consultation fee of $45 ($220). The $175 retightening fee is for 3 hours of service.  If required, each additional hour is $35. For overdue retightening, (six weeks or longer) the retightening fee is $250 for up to 3 hours. If required, each additional hour is $35 ($295 to book).

Late Arrivals

As a courtesy to other clients please be on time.  If you are 10 minutes or more late,  consider your appointment forfeited unless you have made previous arrangements with a MsSissyLocs consultant. Clients who travel will be allowed a 15 minute grace period. 

Full fees are due for missed appointments. For example, a missed 2hour retightening incurs a fee for the two hours. No future appointments will be scheduled until the missed appointment is paid in full.

Excessive cancellations and tardiness will result in a denial of services.

MsSissyLocs Team Behind Schedule

In the rare instance we are running behind schedule, we will issue gift certificates and/or offer free Sisterlocks products.

Only clients and caregivers of clients are allowed in the studio. 


Booth or Classroom Rental Rates 
Rental hours are 8a.m. to 5p.m. Mon. - Sat.
Daily $100
(Must remove all belongings daily)
Weekly $250
(Must remove all belongings on Saturday, close of business)
Monthly $700 (Must remove all belongings at the end of monthly rental period.)
Booth rentals are also ideal for Locticians, Make Up Artists, Estheticians & Eyelash Technicians 
Classroom rentals are $300 daily/ with $250 deposit.

Self-Retightening Classes

MsSissyLocs offers self-retightening classes upon request to all loc wearers, with maintenance kits provided.  Existing clients who wear Sisterlocks are entitled to a reduced fee if after taking the approved Sisterlocks self-retightening class you decide to self-retighten half of the head. For example, if client retightens front and requests an appointment to have the back only retightened the fee is reduced.

Existing clients who decide to retighten their own hair without taking any approved Sisterlocks self-retightening classes, your fee for subsequent appointments will increase.
